White Water Fun

Kootenay River Runners have been introducing travelers to the delights of river rafting since 1976. They have guided thousands down the Kicking Horse, Kootenay and Columbia Rivers and Toby Creek. The East Kootenays is world renowned for its trout fishing and majestic scenery. Wild populations of westslope cutthroat trout, rainbow, brook, and mountain bull trout (actually a Char) are found in our mountain lakes, rivers and streams. As well, Mountain whitefish, kokanee Salmon, and Bass are resident species.

Ski the Canadian Rockies! Radium Hot Springs is located just 18km from Panorama Mountain Villiage, a winter resort with almost 3000 acres of ski and snowboard runs. Panorama boasts plenty of snow every year and has lots to offer people of all skill levels.

There are also 5 other ski resorts within 90 minutes of Radium. Banff offers the world class Sunshine Ski Resort, Mount Norquay, Lake Louise, Kimberley Alpine Resort and Fernie.

Xcountry Skiing

Radium has a huge network of spectacular alpine Xcountry ski trails on the mountain and between Kimberley & Cranbrook. Xcountry ski the tracked-trails in the Kimberley Nature Park by day or night (floodlit trails from Dusk to 10pm every day).
